Deepen your Sacred Passage with Daily Communion and Reverence

Good morning beloved. I am so grateful Father brought us to Friday. Lately I add holy communion to my daily sacred passage and I want to share why this has become precious to me.

When Peter was alive we took communion a few times a week, but after he passed I felt led to pray over you with the bread and cup each morning. I do this to call the blood and body of Christ over you, your children and grandchildren, and to ask for a mantle of reverence and protection that counters the darkness.

Why daily communion matters

The act of daily communion is not legalism. It is a humble invitation to keep the cross close. Scripture reminds us that Christ’s sacrifice has authority over the powers of darkness. When we intentionally call on His blood, we are declaring His covering over our homes and our hearts. Here’s the communion kit I use so you can have a simple, reverent way to begin if you are led to try it.

Prayer and angels obey the Word

I pray a select set of scriptures over the listening family each morning. I often use 1 John 5:18 to remind us that Christ carefully watches over and preserves us. I pray Psalm 91:11 and call on the angels to attend and defend you, because Scripture says they heed and obey God’s word. When God’s word goes forth it moves the unseen to work on our behalf. Speak your name into the promise and let it land on your spirit.

Create a cloistered space for devotion

You do not need a cathedral to meet God. Your corner of a kitchen table can be a cloistered place. Frame your prayer spot in your mind as sanctuary. Welcome His presence in with reverence and gratitude and tell the Lord how much you love Him. Over time those sacred moments change you and shape your responses in the world. The repeated exposure to holy reverence moves you toward Christlikeness.

Practical ways to begin a sacred passage

• Light a candle for a minute of silence before prayer to cue your heart for reverence.
• Keep a small communion kit or simple bread and cup nearby to remember Christ’s sacrifice.
• Choose one scripture to personalize each morning and say it aloud with your name in it.
• Keep the time short and deep…quality reverence matters more than quantity.

Final thoughts and invitation

Beloved, the fear of the Lord is a holy thing that keeps our devotion fresh and honorable. If you want to try adding daily communion, I believe it will help you guard your family and keep your communion time reverent. I am praying for you and your household, and I am grateful to share this sacred journey with you.
