Beloved, I am so stirred as I pray for you. In this moment we have been given a blessing to connect heart to heart. I am so grateful that we have this moment.
As I prayed for you, I saw you sitting around a type of outside campfire; it was night and you were aglow with the warmth of the fire. I saw you staring deeply into the glow, lost in thought. Your mind and heart were centered on the end result of the prayers you have been praying. Heart’s desires. Deep and richly meaningful. But I knew the scene was greater than the present time… it was ancient in its context.
It was a campfire of Abraham, Jacob and Joseph. Any of our heroes of faith, let’s say…they stared into the glow of the fire at night. And dwelled on the promises G-d had made to them. Abraham dreamed into the promise of a true son. Jacob looked into his deliverance from wicked Laban with the vision of his financial increase with his speckled and spotted livestock. Joseph held to the promise that no matter his present situations, he would one day be in a position that would cause his family to honor him, as he was promised by the dreams Father sent him. All these people and so many more who have believed the promises of Father, taking Him completely based on His Word, found Father to be forever faithful. Not only did they believe but also acted upon the promises. Yet first they dwelled upon the promise fulfilled in their hearts.
Beloved, they had the mesmerizing glow of a fire and the silence of their vast landscape. They didn’t have cell phones, continual text messages, scrolling and emails. No puppy/kitten videos, TV, computers, etc. Mortals are drawn to a glow but these tech gadgets distract from time to cultivate vision, the very process of becoming pregnant with the Seed of His Word in the womb of our hearts, seeing the promises of G-d fulfilled in our lives. Of course the enemy uses our being drawn to the glow of light and fills it with mindless entertainment to keep us from engaging the Seed…
The heroes of faith had the sacred silence and the glow of a warm fire as they relaxed their bodies after a day of labor. They spoke of the forefathers around the campfire, relatives who won their battles and were their heroes. Here in the glow they dwelt upon their promises from Father until they were convinced they could indeed walk on the waters of faith. Going forth in confidence and knowing they would be upheld by the Promiser Who was more than able to do what He has promised them. Abraham, though his body was beyond fatherhood; the same can be said of the motherhood of Sarah, his bride. She too, was too late for conceiving babies. But Abraham invested himself in the promise of G-d, he believed and worshiped and in the midst of his worship he grew stronger in faith, confidence in the Promise (see Rom 4).
Beloved, you tell me how quick the enemy is to whisper to your heart, where is G-d? Where is the answer to your asking? How long is it going to take Him to answer the simplest of your requests? Oh, Satan is always there to weaken faith, to introduce doubt. Because faith changes everything in your life, it’s the power to open that portal from Heaven into your life and faith removes the darkness little by little from your journey with your unseen Father. Satan is hoping that the singleness of your faith will become double mindedness and then too weak to expect anything to birth from Heaven to you. (see James 1:6-7) Let’s face it: the One Who calls Himself Love is telling us when faith is weak it cannot birth. The Promise cannot be brought forth.
Think about a woman who has been in hard labor for hours and hours and just has nothing left to bring forth the beloved baby within her that she has longed to hold in her arms. Beloved, you have labored more than many, many years…weakness, weariness is bound to enter…but here in this moment Father has whispered to my heart to tell you to change your dwelling place. Sit in the sacred silence and behold the warm glow of the Promises He has spoken to your heart. Cultivate them, whisper them audibly to yourself, let your heart hear these Life-giving words, they are not mere words, they are infused with the Life Force of Father, His Word is an actual Entity, Jesus is the Word of G-d! He is the Life Force. The Holy Spirit infuses Himself with the Word, the Word has become radioactive as it were, if we had a spiritual Geiger counter up against the Bible, it would be pinging off the scale!! Let Him lead you. Let your vision become so vivid that your heart is strengthened and your faith is exploding. Then when you are fully open as in birthing a baby…PUSH, SPEAK, MOVE OUT, you will know when the time has come to its fulfillment! (meditate on Mark 11:22-26)
Father is there with you, beloved, to catch that which you have been pregnant with, and will help you raise up the maturing babe of promise and walk with you in the days ahead in this new life! You will not be alone. He will continue to be Father to you and will father the call, the promises fulfilled. Have no fear of what success will mean or do to your life. He will always be with you! Guiding you, helping you. Blessing you with favor and wise counsel.
Remember you can’t be a little pregnant, it’s all or nothing! Imagination/vision in the heart, this is the womb of creation. When the Seed has been planted within your love-soaked heart, and nurtured, you will bring forth that robust Promise. It will come forth! Follow our elders, Abraham, Jacob, Joseph…do as they did in spite of their struggles and their long waiting. Do as they did and you will receive as they had. You too will say “Not one of all the LORD’s good promises to Israel failed; everyone was fulfilled.” (read Joshua 21:45; 23:14 And 1 Kings 8:56)
You are continually in my prayers beloved, and forever in my heart! Tess
