Beloved, as we were praying for you this morning, there was a very strong sense of confusion.
Not chaos but conflict.
Two thoughts pulling in different directions.
A sense of being unsettled about your path forward.
It felt like you were standing at a fork in the road, knowing a decision needs to be made, yet feeling pressure rather than clarity. That kind of tension can quietly drain the soul.
And God spoke clearly into that moment.
God Is Not the Author of Confusion
The scripture that anchored this prayer time was simple and powerful:
For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace.
— 1 Corinthians 14:33
If confusion is dominating your thoughts, it is not coming from God. His presence brings peace, even when direction is still unfolding.
What we sensed was not a lack of intelligence or effort on your part, but too much sense and reason…and not enough surrender.
The Fork in the Road
As we prayed, the image of a fork in the road became very clear. You feel like you should be making a decision right now. That pressure alone can create anxiety.
So we began praying cleansing prayers, for overthinking, for mental striving, for the constant analyzing that leaves the heart weary.
Another scripture came immediately:
The mind of the flesh—sense and reason without the Holy Spirit—is death. But the mind of the Spirit is life and peace.
— Romans 8:6
There is a difference between thoughtful consideration and living from the mind of sense and reason alone. The latter leads to heaviness. The former, when guided by the Holy Spirit, leads to peace.
Coming Back Under the Prince of Peace
As prayer continued, it felt like a realignment, almost like a spiritual chiropractic adjustment. Everything began to settle back into place.
This is what surrender looks like:
- Yielding your thoughts to God’s thoughts
- Coming under the lordship of Jesus, the Prince of Peace
- Trusting that He knows the way forward
Peace became the measuring stick again.

Let Peace Be Your Guide
One thing became very clear, peace is your indicator.
If there is a check in your spirit, a lack of peace, that is not God. But when peace settles in your heart, even without full clarity, you can trust that you are being led.
The Prince of Peace rules and reigns in your life. And when you submit your path to Him, confusion loses its grip.
This Situation Is Not Entrenched
There was also a word of encouragement: what you’ve been dealing with is not permanent, even if it has felt that way.
The sense of entrenchment came from viewing the situation through sense and reason alone. God sees beyond that.
He invites you to pray:
- “Your Kingdom come.”
- “Your will be done.”
And then to watch for His way out.
It felt like you were coming off a detour and stepping back onto the path God prepared for you from the beginning.
Expect to Be Led
This part was especially strong, expect God’s leading.
Not someday.
Not vaguely.
But actively and intentionally.
There was a noticeable shift when you declared:
- “I expect the leading of the Lord.”
- “I expect open doors to His will.”
Let go of how you think things should look. That mindset may be what led you into confusion in the first place.
The Path Is Already Prepared
We were drawn to this promise:
We are God’s workmanship… taking paths which He prepared ahead of time for us.
— Ephesians 2:10
You are not wandering aimlessly.
The divine route is already prepared.
Begin declaring it:
- The divine route is already prepared for me.
- God has already made ready the path I will walk.
Gratitude Opens the Way
One final posture mattered deeply: gratitude.
Gratitude shifts your perspective. It opens your eyes. It positions your heart to recognize God’s leading when it appears.
Be willing to be surprised.
Be ready for a miracle.
God’s peace is ruling again. And He is faithful to lead you forward.
Know this, we are praying for you.
