Beloved, as we were praying for you, one theme kept rising again and again…stress. Not just the feeling of being busy or overwhelmed, but the deeper kind of stress that comes from a perceived threat.
Stress is the body’s survival response. It prepares us to fight or to run. Chemically and hormonally, everything in us shifts into protection mode. And yet as we prayed, a question surfaced that felt important to pause with.
What do you feel like you need to fight for right now, or run from?
At work.
At home.
In your relationships.
That question matters because stress is almost always rooted in fear. And fear, when traced back to its source, is born from a false belief about yourself, about God, or about the world around you.
The One Antidote God Gave for Fear
As we prayed into this, it became clear that God created only one true antidote for fear.
Faith.
Faith neutralizes fear. And at the center of that faith is something very specific, faith in God’s love for you.
Scripture tells us that perfect love casts out fear. So when fear is present, it isn’t condemnation. It’s information. It tells us there is an area of our hearts where love has not yet fully settled in.
That doesn’t mean God loves you less. It means there is more of His love waiting to be revealed to you.

You Are Not the Exception
Sometimes we quietly believe a dangerous lie.
God loves everyone… except me.
But that simply isn’t true.
You are not overlooked.
You are not forgotten.
You are not outside His affection.
You are the apple of His eye. He knows your name. He knows every detail of your life…not because He has nothing else to do, but because He is deeply involved. His love is not general. It is personal.
There is not a single person on this planet whom God does not love and that includes you.
Abiding Is the Cure for Anxiety
As we prayed, we were drawn again to John 15. Jesus repeats the same invitation over and over…abide in Me.
To abide means to remain.
To dwell.
To stay connected.
When we abide in Christ and His Word abides in us, something shifts organically. We stop striving to fix everything ourselves. We begin to share our burdens instead of carrying them alone.
Jesus invites us to rest.
To cast our cares on Him.
To trust that He watches over us affectionately.
Fear fades in the presence of that kind of trust.
When Love Flows, Peace Follows
Stress cannot survive where love is fully received.
When you dwell in God’s love, fear loosens its grip. And when fear loosens, stress no longer controls the body or the mind. The fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, begins to flow again.
Sometimes the issue isn’t effort.
It’s connection.
Like a garden hose with a kink in it, the flow hasn’t stopped because the source is gone; it’s stopped because something is pinching the line.
A Gentle Invitation to Listen
There was also a quiet invitation that surfaced in prayer.
To sit in stillness for a moment.
To ask God gently, Is there anything in my life right now that is grieving Your heart?
Not with fear.
Not with shame.
But with trust.
If He reveals something, it’s not to condemn you…it’s to heal you. Confession restores flow. Forgiveness removes blockage. Love rushes back in.
You Are Not Alone in This
There is no need to live in constant tension at work. God gives wisdom generously when you ask in faith.
There is no need for strife at home. Love disarms conflict.
There is no need to panic about provision or protection. He is faithful.
When you rest in His love, fear dissolves.
When fear dissolves, stress loses its power.
Beloved, you are deeply loved.
God is with you.
He will never leave you or forsake you.
And know this…we are praying for you
