Beloved as we’ve been praying for you, we have been aware of the sense of crisis. A rather panicky sense, definitely of the root of fear trying to get into flow of your life. The scripture that came to us to pray for you about this is from John 14:30 where Jesus is speaking to His disciples…”I will not talk with you much more, for the prince (evil genius, ruler) of the world is coming. And he has no claim on Me. [He has nothing in common with Me; there is nothing in Me that belongs to him and he has no power over Me.]” Amplified Classic edition
John 14:30 “I won’t speak with you much longer, for the ruler of this dark world is coming. But he has no power over me, for he has nothing to use against me.” From the Passion Translation
As we prayed I remembered something that happened to Peter, my husband and I as we prayed together one evening. We are not “darkness” focused normally, so when we do become aware of something we are very attentive to address it. As we were praying we were lead to just start praising G-d, speaking forth how faithful G-d has been to us through this challenging season. Praising Him for His generous nature to provide us with Words of confirmation, Words of encouragement. His Scriptures have been our Bread from Heaven, making us aware of everything we were blind to. Opening our eyes as His servants (2 Kings 6:17-20) and letting us see things that we didn’t even realize were going on, like that evening, there was a “knowing” that we were being attacked with negativity, worry and weariness.
So we responded with Praise, for the spirit of heaviness (Isa 61: 3). Giving thanks in every situation (1 Thes 5:16-18). We declared just how blessed we are for His abundance, when suddenly there was a “breaking open” of awareness that we were to tell the darkness that it had no right to be with us as we were Joyfully Worshipping our Beloved Father! We found ourselves saying to the darkness that it had nothing here to feed upon. There was nothing in our minds, in our hearts as far as we could tell that was negative. We found ourselves then shooing off the enemy, like vultures that descended into our presence, looking for something to feast upon. We found ourselves saying “be gone from us, we are not thinking your thoughts, you have no rights here…you are not our father (John 8:44)…we don’t think your thoughts, we don’t talk your talk…we don’t walk with you…be gone from us…you have nothing here to feed on…we have nothing in us that belongs to you…we want nothing of your (fill in the blank of what is coming against you: i.e.: say something like your self-pity, your worthless worry, your false whispers of guilt and shame, fear, hopelessness, etc).
“We have and celebrate our True Father and He is GOOD and ALL His ways are Good…He is ALL powerful…He is ALL Present…He is ALL knowing…He is LOVE!!! And ALL His ways are LOVE and TRUTH!! We have His mind, the mind of Christ, we have His Ways imprinted upon our hearts…We delight in Him…He is our Joy!! Our delightful Treasure…Be Gone Satan…You have nothing to do with us and we have nothing to do with you!!! We command you to go, In the Power of The Name of Jesus!! Be Gone!!”
We were so aware that these entities needed worthlessness, guilt, shame, regret, self-pity, hopelessness etc. They need and feed on lies, lies that are anchored in us by our believing the lies. They think they have a right to be around us, to harass us or maybe they do have a right to be around us if we, as free will Beings believe what they say. Rom 6:16 “you are slaves to the one you obey”…2 Peter 2:19 “For a man is a slave to whatever has mastered him”. Since we live from our hearts, as Prov 4:23 warns us to guard our hearts because our lives flow from our hearts, then believing in our hearts lies like: “nothing works for me, I’m not good enough, everyone gets promoted but me, etc etc”. Then we are vulnerable to attacks of Discouragement, Negativity and Oppression.
These entities find these false beliefs absolutely delicious to eat. It’s their bread as the Word of G-d is our Bread from Heaven, the sustenance that energizes us. So we must remove their sustenance, remove their food. All negativity is from the darkness. They need lies, it’s their life force, it’s their blood flow source. We refuse, renounce, resist the lies, and they must flee. As the scripture admonishes us, we submit ourselves to G-d’s Truth and resist the lies and these entities must flee in Jesus Name (James 4:7). Not just the Name of Jesus, but our free will has to stop believing the lies…stop feeding that raccoon, that trash bandit!!! If you keep feeding them, you can say begone in Jesus Name…but you believe what they say about you, then they feel you have something that belongs to them.
Remember the passage from the beginning of this blog, John 14:30, Jesus said about satan in the amplified classic edition: [He has nothing in common with Me; there is nothing in Me that belongs to him, and he has no power over Me.] and from the Passion Translation : But he has no power over me, for he has nothing to use against me. Renouncing is an important and NECESSARY part of ending the harassment and repentance is to think differently. Cutting ourselves off from the negativity is a Truth encounter, not a power encounter as stated by Neil Anderson, author of the Bondage Breaker, a fabulous book. We are free-Will people. Free to cut ourselves off from the enemy by renouncing the self-deprecating lies we believe about ourselves and choosing G-d’s Word as our True Identity in Christ.
I share all this to let you know that the Presence of G-d manifested in such a sense of Peace and the Darkness fled. We were on a different level, a boost upward and our hearts and minds received the garrison of protection that is Promised in Phil 4. What came against us as worry and weariness fled, exactly as the Word of G-d Promised. Act upon the Word. Sometimes when we are in the battle for so long we forget, or are so tired that we don’t act upon the Word. I know that Peter and I were on the slippery slope that night and that things could have gone incredibly different if we hadn’t stopped feeling the worries and the weariness of it all and switched gears to Praise and Worship. I am convinced that we could have given the enemy a foothold that night if we didn’t just start loving on G-d, who then gave us revelation in the midst of our Praise on how to fight the battle…You will experience this too!
Remember:
Satan needs us to help him steal, kill and destroy (John10:10)…he can’t do it without us yielding and believing his lies, giving him a foothold into our lives and our homes.
But Jesus said that He came to give us life and life abundantly. He is the Way, the Truth, the Life (John 14:6).
Be quick to forgive. And remember the battle is for your thoughts…
Philippians 4:8 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition “For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them]”.
This is a mandate for our protection, not a suggestion. Suit up daily: Let’s make sure we are everyday applying the armor of G-d (Eph 6:10-18). Putting on Christ (Rom 13; Col 3). Worship is always the path to victory in Warfare (2 Chron chapter 20 )
How have you been doing to Suit Up daily, knowing that the warfare has ramped up? A soldier needs to be continually covered while in combat. It’s too easy for us to think life sort of appears normal, the coast appears to be is clear, until the negativity subtly creeps up upon us…Let’s compare notes!
