A Tender Reminder from Scripture
This morning in prayer, one verse came with such clarity it echoed in my heart:
“For he who touches you touches the apple of His eye.” – Zechariah 2:8
Beloved, this is how precious you are to the Father. When the world comes against you, it is not only coming against you—it is pressing against the very heart of God. And His Word assures us that He sees, He knows, and He defends.
The Battle Is Not Against Flesh and Blood
Ephesians 6:12 reminds us that our true battle isn’t against people, but against spiritual forces. It can feel like people around us are the enemy, but Scripture pulls back the curtain to show us where the real fight lies. And here’s the good news: the victory is already settled.
When Saul persecuted early believers, Jesus Himself appeared and said, “Why are you persecuting Me?” (Acts 9:4–5). To touch one of His children is to touch Him. That’s how close you are to His heart.
Surrounded by His Strength
Isaiah 41 speaks directly to us in moments like these: “Fear not, for I am with you… I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties… I will uphold you with My victorious right hand.”
Notice those words—victorious right hand. God is not wringing His hands over your situation. He is holding you steady, shielding you, and reminding you that no attack has the final word.
No Weapon Shall Prosper
One of the most powerful promises we can hold onto comes from Isaiah 54:17:
“No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper.”
The weapon may form. You may even see it pointed in your direction. But the Word declares—it will not stand. It cannot prosper against the authority and protection of the Lord.
And Jesus echoes this when He says, “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33).
More Than Conquerors
Romans 8 lifts our hearts even higher:
- “If God is for us, who can be against us?”
- “We are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”
Beloved, let this sink in: You are not just surviving. You are not barely holding on. In Christ, you are already victorious. His love secures your standing, His Spirit preserves your steps, and His promises cannot fail.
A Call to Respond in Faith
When the pressure mounts, when opposition seems relentless, remember:
- The trouble is not from the Father.
- The weapon may form, but it cannot prosper.
- You are shielded as the apple of His eye.
So how do we respond? By standing firm in the Word. By speaking His promises aloud. By declaring in faith that we are preserved, protected, and empowered to overcome.
As 1 John 5:18 tells us, “The One who was begotten of God carefully watches over and protects you.”
Let’s Continue the Conversation
