Good morning beloved. I’m Tess and I’m so glad we’re starting the day together. 🍃
This morning I’m sensing an increase in spiritual warfare and a pressing invitation from the Father to speak the Word over our lives without hesitation. When Jesus met temptation He answered, “It is written,” and He used the Word of God as His sword. I feel Father asking us to do the same now, daily and with confidence.

Make proclamation part of your rhythm
We aren’t called to be defensive and fearful. We’re called to be intentional and vocal.
Pick a few Scriptures that address the weakest areas of your heart and household. Speak them out loud over your family, your work, your church and every place you want God to guard. Saying God’s truth aloud helps your mind settle and your spirit stand firm.
The blood and the fortress of prayer
I regularly plead the blood of Jesus over my family and this listening family every morning.
Years ago I heard about children who were protected because their parents covered them in prayer daily. The practice isn’t magic. it’s faith made practical. When you ask the Lord to cover your home with the blood of Christ you create a spiritual boundary that brings peace to your heart and safety to those you love.
Put on the armor of God each day
Ephesians 6 is not optional for the days ahead.
Make a habit of naming the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit. Write them on an index card and tuck it into your Bible or jacket pocket. When you go out the door, read them with thanksgiving and watch how your posture changes.
Practical steps to prepare
You don’t need a long ritual to be ready spiritually.
• Start with a short prayer and plead the blood over the people and places on your list.
• Speak one Scripture out loud for protection and provision.
• Review your index card of armor pieces before you leave the house.
These small acts create a fortress of truth around your day.
Why speaking the Word matters
Words create atmosphere. They shift the unseen.
When you say Scripture aloud you are releasing heavenly force into your environment. The Word will never return void. It accomplishes what you declare when you pair it with faith and gratitude.
A simple suggestion from my morning
If it helps, keep a small list of key areas to cover each day. Mine includes family, home, work, neighborhood and the ministry.
I keep it short. I read it, I declare Scripture, and I move into my day trusting God to do the rest.
Final thought and invitation
Beloved, don’t let fear keep you from taking up your place in this season. Speak the Word like Jesus did, plead the blood, and wear the armor of God every morning. You are not alone and you are being prepared for God’s assignments.
