From Mornings with Tess – August 21, 2025
Beloved, I wish I could sit across from you this morning and thank you — truly thank you — for all the love and encouragement you’ve poured over me as I’ve stepped into this new season. Learning to live and minister without Pete has left me feeling awkward, vulnerable, and overwhelmed at times… yet you’ve been in my corner, cheering me on. From the bottom of my heart — thank you for helping me keep going.
When Everything Is Going Wrong — But You Know You’re in God’s Will
As I prayed for you today, Father led me to Acts 27 and 28. Paul is on his way to fulfill God’s call. He is exactly where he is supposed to be. And yet… everything goes wrong.
He is falsely accused, thrown in prison, caught in a violent storm, shipwrecked, stranded on an island, cold, soaked, hungry — and then to top it all off, he’s bitten by a poisonous snake.
Some of you are walking through situations right now that make you wonder,
“Did I miss God? Why is this so hard if I’m trying to obey Him?”
Let Paul’s story remind your heart today:
You can be in God’s perfect will… and still face hellish resistance. In fact, sometimes the magnitude of the enemy’s attack is proof of how powerful your destiny truly is.
“Nothing shall by any means harm you.” – Luke 10:19
Shake It Off — You Haven’t Come This Far to Only Come This Far
When that snake latched onto Paul, he didn’t scream, panic, or quit.
He simply shook it off — because he knew who he was and Whose he was.
And that moment became his pivot point. The locals saw him survive what should have killed him. Suddenly, doors opened. Honor came. Blessings overflowed. Ministry expanded.
Beloved, I believe the same for you:
You have not endured all this warfare for nothing. Everything the enemy intended to stop you will become a testimony that launches you further into destiny — if you don’t quit.
